Action Planning Workshops

For this reason, Comparison International strongly encourages the discipline of progressing quickly from benchmarking to action planning, and to implementation of those plans. It is our norm to extend the benchmarking process to include an Action Planning Workshop, and for the benchmarking facilitator to contribute to this key stage, assisting your team to translates ideas into firm action plans.
This facilitator's contribution is tailored to what will work best for you. If appropriate, they will help to establish a format and process, and introduce creative thinking and action planning techniques, assisting you to plan actions efficiently and effectively, and ensuring that the organisation succeeds in carefully considering its priorities and defining objectives which are "SMART":
- Specific — objectives must be clear and unambiguous
- Measurable — how will you know when the objective has been achieved?
- Achievable — a balance must be struck between 'stretch goals' and an understanding of achievability
- Realistic — can the objectives realistically be achieved with the resources that can be freed up from competing demands?
- Timely — if no deadline is set, the objective isn't specific, or measurable, or achievable!
Crucially, the facilitator helps to ensure that ownership of the objectives and action plans resides where it must reside — with those who are going to make it happen.
